Matter and objective of the project:

Study of the progressive experience of Czech Republic and Poland, the mechanisms of co-operation of Non-governmental organizations, which carry out activities in anti-corruption sphere, with the state bodies on the way to European Integration. Promote the establishment of similar co-operation and reforms in the Republic of Armenia on its way to European Integration.

Currently Armenia is on its way to the European Integration. At present the republic is involved in the EU European Neighborhood Policy program. In addition, Armenia is comprehensively developing its relations with a great number of EU member states. In this relation we are really interested and we think it will be rather useful to us to get acquainted with the experience of the ex-socialist countries of Europe, which in result of realization of efficient reforms in different spheres of the public life, and in a rather short period of time transferred from the socialists system to the full membership in the European Union.
The Armenian Young Lawyers Association, which currently is one of the leading non-governmental organizations (NGO) of the legal sphere in Armenia, is especially interested in the study of the progressive experience of the mechanisms of co-operation of Non-governmental organizations, which carry out activities in anti-corruption sphere, with the state bodies on the way to European Integration. And consequently to promote the establishment of similar co-operation and reforms in the Republic of Armenia on its way to European Integration.
With this respect we suggest organizing a four-day training (seminar) for the representatives of non-governmental organizations which are involved in different spheres, lawyers, the right protective organizations and anticorruption centers, Prosecutor’s office, courts, Parliament, other state structures and local self-government bodies. The training will be held in Yerevan. Expert trainers from Czech Republic and Poland will introduce to the attention of the participants the institutional and legal reforms in the anti-corruption sphere, including the legislative reforms, which were realized in their countries on the way to Integration (membership) to the European Union. During the training the Armenian experts will introduce the current state of anti-corruption sphere in Armenia. We suggest involving 20 participants in this workshop (training).
After the training, and based on the opinion of the invited experts, the organizers will select a group of 8 active participants who will participate in a 8 days study tour to Czech Republic and Poland to get acquainted with the experience of Czech Republic and Poland in the above mentioned spheres.
The Armenian Young Lawyers Association is interested in organizing visits of the group to:
• the non-governmental organizations that work in anti-corruption sphere,
• the right protective organizations and anticorruption centers,
• Prosecutor’s office, courts
• Parliament
• Other state structures and local self-government bodies
A concluding seminar on the experience gained in result of the study tour for the representatives of state, international, and local organizations, as well as media will be organized in Yerevan. The seminar will widely be publicized in the Armenian mass media.
