Experiencing the New Europe

Experiencing the New Europe, or ENE is a month-long international summer program organized by the University of Lower Silesia’s International Institute for the Study of Culture and Education. The intensive program combines classroom study with on-site experimential learning in the transforming European urban context.

Two courses are offered:
 Explorations in Modernity: Lessons from Central Europe
 The Urban Research Seminar

ENE 2012 will run from June 1 – 29, 2012.

The summer program is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Successful completion of ENE allows students to earn 6 US credits or 20 credits under the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
The Experiencing the New Europe program has been recognized as a Model Honors Study Abroad learning experience by the United States National Collegiate Honors Council.

The program is held in Wrocław, Poland’s fourth largest city. This dynamic, unforgettable city is located in southwest Poland, not far from the borders with the Czech Republic and Germany. As a part of the program ENE participants take weekend excursions to Berlin, Prague and Cracow.
