ULS - a place for You

IISCE - English version

Decide how much you are going to use the public transportation in Wroclaw. One-ride ticket costs 3,00 PLN (normal line) and 3,20 (express line). If you plan to switch trams or buses several times a day, we would recommend that you buy 1-day ticket (9 PLN - normal lines and 10 PLN - normal and expres lines) or 30-days ticket (90 PLN - normal lines, 98 PLN normal and expres lines).
Since 2010 we have URBANCARD - a multipurpose carrier of electronic services and products in a prepaid card format. The Wrocław Urban Transportation System's tickets are encoded on the card. You may use URBANCARD for transportation, in Wroclaw Water Park and in the ZOO.

Taxis are very common in Wroclaw and they are not very expensive. Your hotel and dormitory are in the centre of the city and you will not have much need to use them there, but for the daily trip to and from the university, we recommend that to save time, you join in teams of three or four and take a cab. Below are numbers for cab companies where operators speak English. We can also help you arrange with the hotel reception desk to call cabs for you to go to school. (A trip from the hotel to school by taxi will cost each team about $4).
